Have you ever imagined waking up to the sound of waves?

I had always assumed it to be something luxurious. But when a homestay in Kannur provides such an excellent experience at an optimum price? Why not try it ourselves?

Manshore Bay Guest house was such a beautiful property and we fell in love with it instantly.

Room

Equipped with king sized bed and a wooden cup board, room was neat and spacious(for the standard of homestay) with a great view.

View

I have always been fascinated by waking up to the sound of waves. If there is one reason which compelled me to book this homestay, it was the gorgeous sea view from bed.

Aesthetics

This is something I loved about the room. With framed sunset pictures taken in their own dining area adorning the wall so good that waking up to that photo itself gave a good vibe. And to depict the sea and sea life, there was a rope placed in a decorative manner to increase the aesthetics of the room.

Privacy

After climbing the steel staircase, there were two rooms with a shared balcony. Out of which, one was allocated to us. The space between two rooms could have been more. But for the price we paid, no complaints.

Added advantage of this homestay is access to the private beach. Who doesn’t love to have a beach for themselves? We spent our evening all alone watching the splendid sun go down the sea.

Food

If I have to speak outright, food was a let-down in this homestay when we went. Though I have read great reviews about this homestay food, it wasn’t up to the mark during our stay.

Though the manager had informed that the sudden ill-health of owner’s mother had caused a little chaos in the kitchen. Kannur being a foodie’s delight, I had expected them to have some special local dishes in their menu.

Support & Care

Being someone who prefer public transport, the homestay manager has been of great help when it comes to guiding us. Almost by evening, he had even called to check on us.

With glass doors opening to the view of endless sea and a small private beach all to ourselves, this place sure is a blessing for budget travelers like us. I would highly recommend this place if chilling by a private beach and waking up to the endless sea views is your idea of a perfect holiday.
